The Way Home: Altai Mountains and Northern Mongolia Tour

The Plan

This trek is weeks (2) and (3) of our High Adventure Series and in our view an absolute delight. What's more, you are still a part of the story of the Red Devil Redemption and the making of motorcycling history.

1st Week (2) Fly out from UB to our habitual Altai staging post of Khovd and start out on a 7 day tour of the fascinating, remote and magnificent Altai Mountains. On day 2 we join up with the Red Devil trek team in Burenkhairhan and then head off road into the routes and passes of the Altai central plateau together. One fresh team meeting up with one tired team. Differt stories to tell. Different levels of excitment. Complementary expectations. You will never get better commaraderie than this.

2nd Week (3) follow the northern routes past lakes and through forests all the way up to the great Khovskol Lake, home of the reindeer people. Fly back to UB from Muren, keeping this to a realistic schedule with enough time to relax and explore along the way.
